RUN!... DON'T WALK TO YOUR CHANEL COUNTER IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT THIS:
My first spring 2012 collections post was the Chanel one, from the description of my sentence in bold red above, you can probably gather WHY?!
I was there, at the counter I didn't even give the Sales Assistant the opportunity to ask me if I needed help, I helped myself to the Assistant; pointed and said:
Me - "May I have the 'Blush Horizon De Chanel' from the 'Harmonie De Printemps Collection' please" (In my best French pronunciation, (quite a good one in my humble opinion!):
Assistant - "Oh Yes of course, You know what you want madam don't you?!
Me - "Ahh yes"
Assistant - "Anyt....."
Me - "And..Levres Scintillantes Glossimer in 'Bagatelle' also from your spring collection please"
(She didn't stand a chance, sorry, I think she was going to ask 'anything else?' who knows? Never mind.)
Assistant - " Let me just check the glosses because I don't know the name or what it looks like even" (She had to check, I should have her job!)
Me - "I memorised it, it's that one there, yes, there, that one PLEASE"
Assistant - " Ah ok"..."Anything..."
Me - "No thank you that's it, please, thank you so much."
Paid for and in a Chanel bag and mine, FAT smile on my face.... My pulse on the life machine has settled to a normal rate.
Sooo... One of the anticipated products and star of the collection is the 'Blush Horizon De Chanel' a Glowing Blush Harmony. One elegant compact with 5 multi pink and peach tones mimicking luminous hues of a spring sunrise and sunset! A wearable pink, rose and coral combinations with a stripe of white veil to neutralise the application. I can't bare to swatch it because it is so beautiful, but I am sharing photos which are just as satisfying, I will do a FOTD and show you when I pluck the courage to touch such utter beauty!
Chanel 161 'Bagatelle' is a light-to-medium blue based pink with a peach undertone and fine gold shimmer. The peachyness and gold shimmers give the pink gloss a bright, warm bubblegum pink with a peach/coral appearence. The gloss swatches sheer at first, but swatched heavily is fairly pigmented in comparison to the other Glossimers which are generally pretty sheer, I'll dig out my Glossimer in 'Mica' and show you a comparison soon!. Applied over a lipstick it's absolutely gorgeous and more opaque in colour when applied heavy, and after a while it sheers out like the other Glossimers. I like to pair it with MAC Lipstick in 'Angel', 'Creme Cup', 'Modesty' and 'Hue', it really settles beautifully.
All I'm gonna say is I'm such a lucky girl! Thank you to Toby for spoiling me once again! I'm still drooling over these two items I just cannot get over them that I still keep them in the bag and box they came in! Sad I know but I can't help it :)
Just One More...
Love Chanel Always!
