Sleek Makeup Eyeshadow Palette in 'Bad Girl' - Review

"I Divine is a highly pigmented, soft touch eye shadow palette that possesses 12 pearlescent or matte shades. The pearlescent shades possess a large amount of mica and reflect the light giving a shimmering effect to the eye. The colour viewed in the palette is the colour that will be applied to the eye, as the payoff is excellent and the formulation is long lasting."

Sleek is a UK brand that sells high-quality, affordable, creative makeup.  'Bad girl' contains strong and deep shades which allow one to uncover their hidden fantasies. This palette can be extreme, powerful, confident as well as sensual. I picked up 'Bad Girl' whilst wasting time in Superdrug!

The palette comes in a black plastic compact with 'Sleek' printed in a gloss print, the compact is not as sturdy as a MAC palette but for the price you pay I'm not complaining it's still quite solid - just don't drop it or all will crumble inside lol!

Now I really wanted a palette that was full of deep and dark shades and this palette covers colours that can be used as a highlight to creating the darkest smokey eye look with, greys, greens, purples, blues and black!

(Left-Right: Evening Light, Day Light)

The palette contains the following colours:
TOP ROW: Innocence, Gullible, Blade, Gun Metal, Underground, Noir
BOTTOM ROW: Intoxicated, Envy, Obnoxious, Abyss, Twilight, Rebel

Sleek Eye Palettes are pressed mineral shadows, so they tend to have a soft, if flaky texture, with wonderful colour payoff. Each palette has 12 shadows, a mirror, an eye shadow applicator. I think this palette is fabulous- dark smouldering jewel tones and not one shade let me down!

The only downside I feel is; there is so much fallout when trying to apply these shadows, I highly recommend doing your eye makeup before foundation if your going to be using this palette. But once the colour is settled it truly does look beautiful and pigmented. Also the eye shadow applicator that comes with this palette is totally useless! I use my own eye brushes with a light hand and build up the colour, I also tap off excess before applying and this helps control the amount of fall out.

Now for some swatches: Left - Daylight. Right - Evening Light.

The above swatches are from one swipe and as you can see they are really really pigmented and full of colour and true to the palette resemblance. This one palette contains lid, crease, defining and highlight colours of various different shades in the cool colour spectrum. So worth the tiny investment to have these in your collection without a doubt!

Colour Descriptions - TOP ROW:

Innocence: Silvery white with a smooth Pearl finish. It’s super smooth with good colour payoff.

Gullible: Pale nude pearl. I really like this one, most colours I have that are similar to this lean more pink or tan than this. Pearl finish, good colour payoff.

Blade: Cool medium silver grey. Pearl finish,  great colour payoff.

Gun Metal: Deep cool Grey with a Pearl finish, excellent colour payoff.

Underground: Satin finish black, slightly stiff texture; Great colour payoff.

Nior: Deep Matte Black, Silky texture, good colour payoff.

Colour Descriptions - BOTTOM ROW:

Intoxicated: Deep jungle green with a smooth pearl finish, great colour payoff.

Envy: Blackened green with a texture somewhere in between Pearl and Satin. Great colour payoff.

Obnoxious: BLURPLE not Purple! This tends to show up on my skin more blue than purple, satin texture with good colour payoff.

Abyss: Deep Navy with purple shimmer. Satin/matte texture. Good colour payoff.

Twilight: Deep Cool purple pearl. Excellently colour payoff, smooth texture, just a perfect purple eyeshadow. The name is great too- I’m a Twilight movie fan!

Rebel: Warm deep purple with a Matte finish. Good colour payoff and smooth Texture.

I'm really impressed with my new sleek palette, I've only ever owned two Sleek palettes previous to this in 'Storm' and 'Mediterranean', I occasionally reach for them when I'm feeling more adventurous due to their colour payoff! I highlly recommend these palettes because they are genuinely really nice, I'm a label whore all the way when it comes to makeup but sometimes the simpler things in life can be pleasing!

Sleek makeup palettes can be purchased from Superdrug stores in the UK for £6.49 and for international purchase direct here.

Cool Sleek Makeup!
